Miniature Horses of Featherbed Farm
These little guys came to the farm almost by chance, though I've always loved Horses and had them growing up I
never thought I'd own 3 in 6 months time, but they have proved to be a wonderful addition to our lives. We first purchased
"Matador" a bay pinto to break to a cart and pull the grandkids around. While doing some research and looking on the web for
a buddy for "Matador" (being a herd animal, like the goats) I came across a sale ad for two young horses that were basically
just passing time away as the owners had lost interest. The asking price was so reasonable I brought them both home and will
never look back. They are a joy to have around, eye candy for the animal lover in me, watching them interacting with each
other. We have discovered that training and working with them is a real workout and keeps us off the couch and enjoying life
just a little more.
The first snow of the year provided
us with some of the "eye candy" I was talking about. Hope you enjoy too!
Matador coming to say Hi!
I
don't know where these wonderful fellas will take us but hope you will check back and enjoy as we update the adventures of
... 'The Featherbed Gang"
